Celebrating 10 years

In 2004, audiologist Melissa Beer and speech language pathologist Jody Vaynshtok joined forces with a shared vision: to create a space where individuals and families could access all their communication needs under one roof. Together, they founded Sound Speech and Hearing Clinic, proudly becoming the first private practice in the Bay Area to combine both hearing and speech-language services.

From the very beginning, Melissa and Jody knew that communication is something to be celebrated. Whether it’s hearing your loved one’s voice or expressing yourself with confidence, communication is the foundation of connection - and it’s at the heart of everything we do.

Over the years, Sound Speech and Hearing Clinic has grown into a vibrant community hub where people of all ages feel supported, understood, and empowered. Our team’s dedication to celebrating communication has touched countless lives. Now, as we proudly celebrate our 10th year, we reflect on how far we’ve come and the incredible families who have been part of our journey. What started as a dream has become a thriving practice that continues to grow and evolve, always guided by our mission to provide expert care in a welcoming, inclusive environment.
